Job Description
- Research & Experimentation: Investigate state‑of‑the‑art AI/ML and agent techniques (LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, reinforcement learning); Prototype novel ideas rapidly; design and run experiments with clear success metrics
- End‑to‑End Development: Translate prototypes into production‑grade microservices or components; Architect and implement robust, scalable AI features
- Deployment & Infrastructure: Containerize and orchestrate AI workloads (Docker, Kubernetes); optimize model serving for low latency and high throughput; manage cloud ML infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Databricks)
- Cross‑Functional Enablement: Support other departments by explaining AI concepts and guiding non‑engineering teams on integrating AI solutions (e.g., personalized product recommendations, intelligent search, automated content generation); Conduct workshops and produce documentation to upskill product, marketing, and customer‑support teams
Qualifications
What will help you to master future challenges
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine‑learning engineering, backend development or related roles
- Must‑have experience developing and deploying LLM‑based agents or conversational AI/NLP models, including multi‑turn dialog flows, tool use, and retrieval‑augmented pipelines
- Hands‑on expertise in MLOps/LLM Ops; deploying models with CI/CD including versioning, monitoring, testing and (concept) drift detection
- Proven track record deploying ML/AI models into production; hands‑on with Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and agent‑centric LLM toolkits (e.g. LangChain/LangGraph, ADK, OpenAI agent framework)
- Expertise in containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (prefered GCP)
- Strong understanding of data engineering: ETL, cloud databases, Vector databases
- Excellent communication skills in english, german is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Optional: Experience in time-series based machine learning and reinforcement learning (for ML topics in pricing and demand forecasting)
